About a week ago I flashed my first CEL... The guy at the store didn't tell me the codes, but told me the problem was my rear o2 sensor (Bank 1, Sensor 2). All he told me to do was to step up the octane the next few times I filled the tank and buy a fuel additive to clean the fuel rail and injectors etc...
code disappeared fing02.gif
TODAY, CEL reappears. Not ten minutes after the CEL appears the car starts driving with a little less Punch-In-The-Gut than it usually does. Within the next few minutes, the car physically cannot surpass 60 MPH or 3000 RPM. I'm being beat by twenty year old minivans at stop lights and I can barely make it up small grade hills (cannot accelerate up hills, and will usually decelerate about 10 mph before I crest the hill). The car runs Semi-normal up to about half throttle, after though, the engine gets really loud and sounds like it's bogging out. The RPMs do not climb and neither does my speed.
Got the codes for the CEL when I got home.
P0137 - o2 Sensor Circuit, Low Volts (Bank 1, Sensor 2)
P0136 - o2 Sensor Circuit, Malfunction (Bank 1, Sensor2)
Going to reset the ECU in the morning to see if the code reappears. Also I was wondering if there could possibly be anything else wrong. A few members here told me it could be anything from the cat to the flex pipe, I dunno what to think and was wondering if I should go ahead and replace the o2 sensor or if there could be something else seriously wrong.
