Spark plug degree question
ok
I have no clue about spark plug temperature... as you can see with my dumbass frying 3 plugs
Im going to be riding around the 200-240whp area
What degree plugs should i use?
keep in mind i have a 10lb bottle in the trunk that im addicted to
I NEED MORE NAWZZZZZ!
my final out put is in the 275-315WHP under nitrous and im expecting torque to reach the 350 mark.
You guys think the zex plugs can handle that?
Im going to have new pistons so the last thing i want is ring damage on my new pistons
I currently run around in my zex plugs... nitrous loves those plugs
havent even dented them
lol

I too am addicted to the nitrous. I recommend changing the plugs frequently. You don't have to use the expensive zex plugs. I'm using NGK V-power (BKR6E). The recommended model is BKR5E for stock engines. The higher the number, the colder the plug. So it depends on your applicatoin. It runs about 6-7 bucks for a set and I change the plugs each time I change the oil.
ok im familiar with the numbers.... im really curious though on WHICH number should i go to once im putting down 220-320WHP
is it 3 degrees colder? 4? 5?
will the zex plugs still be fine?
BTW... just for your info
i fried 3 plugs NGK vpower that were 1 degree colder... like the ones your using (na 95 eclipse plugs)
be careful
i hope your not running a 75 shot
btw... denso iridiums, i believe suck too
be careful.... i think someone reported a loss in horsepower with those
next time just get the zex... better safe than sorry
i currently have the zex... work like a charm

Ford faster one of the former TSR members here was using the v-power plugs here but he was using them 2 steps colder. BKR7E's. He had no problems and was running a home made wet 75 jetted setup with an inline fuel pump to help out. He never had problems with these plugs when 2 steps colder. I think its for every 50shot you go one step colder with these. So from 50-100 shot 2 step and for 50 below one step. now if your running above 100 only go 3 step colder not 4. 4 you will be changing out plugs every oil change instead of every other. Hope this helps. And I think if your NA doesn't going to 1 step hotter help you out? Of course you dont want to go hotter if your N/A and spraying. smile.gif
i think ill go with an extra shot of an estimated 60whp-80whp shot from venom
what ever it takes to push me past the 300whp area for $hits and giggles
im hoping project mitsu gets me atleast 220whp
