I saw this advertised on facebook and think its a great idea. But do they really keep the battery charged?

When the truckers drop off new cars at work every once in a while (not often) they will leave a Solar Charger in one of the cars, i have one in the backseat of my car now, it has an OBD2 plug on it tho, not the car outlet like the one in your link.

I haven't used it yet so i cant comment on how well they work. I grabbed it this winter and I'm planning on using it for Car shows when my car is sitting out for a few hours.

It looks kinda like this guy

Depends if it's cloudy, sandy, or stealy in your area

i dont wanna sound like a twat. But i just had serious issues with my loom. The Whole Dignostic port power run off the audio and immboilzer setup. Very confusing i know.

So by putting charge into the Dignostic port of a hyundai. You putting power to that whole Rails of electrical devices.

because code Scanner can pick up power without the key but cant be read without the IGN.

So won't this be alittle silly way of charging on some cars ? Being as the solar panels may not be perfectly regular and have power spikes ?

Unless they have some sort of regulation they will overcharge the battery.
