Default Soap and water to clean CAI?

Picked up a new filter today since mine is getting real dirty and Im gonna take the whole CAI out to clean out the pipes. There was a little bit of dust on the inside. Can I just use regular soap and water to clean it out or is there something else? Maybe just a wet paper towel to wipe it out?
