Default should i even plan on to do this

i really hate the fact that my accent as slow as a friggin turtle and i cant buy a tib(not even first gen) b/c insurance is 3xx dollars. i really want to do the beta swap(i wnat KORE to do it for me) but those guys are horribly slow with everything and i mean everything, they dont even bother to update us on how the swap is doing with their x3 and please dont tell me they 're too bussy!!! it only takes a minute to do.
anyway do you think they will be able to do teh swaps for LC's within a year or less?

PS i was going o post this in KORE's forums but i was afraid of getting flamed too much, they would deff eat me alive

I think that was the point!

I to put it simply, we do not allow KORE bashing(we allow HDK bashing tongue.gif ).

If you feel like bashing, do it on another board, as it's not going to be allowed here.

Let's keep this discussion productive about helping Big_Al with a beta swap.

Al-
I know there have got to be many different shops in your area that do motor swaps. Start calling around. If a shop doesn't do motor swaps, ask them for a referal on who does. When you find a shop that DOES do swaps, call and ask to talk to the shop manager or owner (usually the same guy, but not always). As him if he's interested in the motor swap idea in a hyundai. Explain (briefly) that there IS a market for this, and that it has been done before, and is not an impossibility. If he's interested in the idea, ask him for 30 minutes of his time for a meeting. Then collect all the info you can on the alpha motor, it's mounts and tranny mounts, and the beta motor and it's mounts (www.hmaservice.com). We can try to help you out with stuff if you get stuck. You can then present all this information to him when you meet with him, and see if he is interested in taking on the project. To try to get a better price out of him, mention that you will be doing a write up for the various different Hyundai forums, the Hyundai Online Magazine, and also be sending photos and details in to all the major magazines. See if he is willing to knock down the price a tad, or at least be willing to work with you on the "development" time that it's going to take to get everything to work.

I would also reccomend doing this for more than one shop. Don't necessary go for the shop that offers you the best deal, but go with the shop where you get along best with the Manager, and who has a good repuation.
