1) A short intake that puts the filter in the engine bay is as good as a filter strapped to the end of the MAFs. Save your money, you are still just sucking up hot engine bay air
2) A ram air intake consists of something that RAMS the air in, such as a hood scoop, or a scoop that sticks out the grille or the bottom, facing forward. The RICER short "ram air" intakes sold these days are just crappity crap crap.
3) If you insist on spending money on a new intake tube, get a REAL cold air intake or make one up yourself.
