Default Shark Racing BBTB

I received my TB for my TibGT this Wednesday. I will be installing it this Monday. Does anyone know if the TB are allready pre-adjusted or due I have to mess with anything on it?

I had no problems / adjustments needed. you may have to adjust the idle screw, but before you put it on kinda match it up to your current one and you can adjust it from there. Good luck!

The tech working on my car said if I wanted it would be a good idea to port match the plenium (I think that's what it's called). He didn't say anything about the Intake Manifold or anything else. If I don't port match will this affect anything in the engine (timing, etc.). Will this mod shorten the engines life in the long run. So far I can feel a little more power when I hit the gas.

The plenum (I can't remember how to spell that) he is refering to is the intake manifold. He is talking about the part of the intake manifold that attaches to the tb (circle orfice which the air enters), there will be on adverse effects worth mentioning

Yes, there will be adverse effects.

Less air cavitation will be caused by the match between the TB and the plenium, so air velocity is increased, moderated by the engine's swept volume. There will alo be much-reduced air resonation(pressure-build up because of pressure building up in a particular spot in the plenium)

Uhhhh thats if a cooler and smoother-flowing intake charge can be called an adverse effect.

artypipes,

Did you get the BBTB installed yet ? If so how is it. Any difference in throttle response or power ?
