Heh, you call Mechanix's nice list encouragement? The picture painted there show a huge, intricate, expensive undertaking, and it was painted with a wide brush. The details are what will really kill ya

A monstrosity would be dropping an rotary into a Segway. Actually, I'd like to see that. Turbocharged, please. Any takers?

how can you encourage him! thats like dropping a v8 into an rx-7! rx-7's were meant to be rx-7s not some montrosity (sp?) that you guys want to make it..what if i took a tib engine and stuck it in a ford festiva????[/b]

Uhhh RX7Girl since someone already dropped a straight-6 into an RX7 guess the V8 would be the next logical step for swaps. Wonder if anyone's seen a V8 twin turbo RX7 before.

well if you want to drop the engine and trans in the tib your gonna have to have a rearend to make it driveable. Like a solid axle from an s-10 or ranger. But then your probally gonna have to have a leaf spring setup. Or you could do independent like a honda crv. But need less to say your gonna have to probally cut the drive shaft, the the ujoints put back on and get it rebalanced. No to mention that the drive shaft really has no place to go under the tibby. Which means your gonna have to do some beating to make it fit. But i'm sure you can get it to work if you really want.

Good god. Please dont do that to a Rotary engine.

And for the cost of this whole swap, you might as well buy a Ferrari. You'll get alot more girls than a rotary powered Tib. smile.gif

NO.

Well maybe if you do extensive, and I mean extensive work done to your car.

you know...instead of doing this swap (which I might add, is one of the most insane ideas I've read so far ), why not add a Mitsu Evo engine in your car?

Much easier to do (its already been done before) and more bragging rights in my oppinion.
