I thought 97-01 was the same shifter.

 

Some 2001s had a different one, the one which you are holding.

But cbehage, the one you have there is for a XD or GK.

We should use this in the FAQ. I constantly tell folks about this. Lots of them buy the shifter anyways, thinking the MFR CAN'T be wrong.

Well, I've been in and seen a TON of RD1's and 2's, and I own a very late model 2001 myself. NEVER have I seen a white shifter base that uses that shifter.

 

yah, you prob did the same thing I did; I got the car and the first thing I did was buy one of these pos off ebay..
luckly I put it in my girlfriends yard sale and some sucker bought it for 15bucks.
(dunno what he was going to use it for, but lets pray nothing sexual.)
