Remap and Tune your stock ECU
^^ Very true. And all this is with a Republican-controlled White House and Congress that isn't environmentally friendly. Wait till the Democrats get a majority and pass laws everywhere. Anyone failing emissions will be screwed.

He is right but no need for name calling...lol
Anyway...once we start work on the car we will have data and all sorts of good stuff for you guys to go on.
As for a price range...until my car is done there won't be any other Hyundais worked on.

So if you don't care, don't pay attention retard.
LOL, makes me laugh....if you haven't realised yet, performance and emission regulations don't go toghether...
Why do you (not only you, but people as a whole) still bother bogging after a remaped ecu? It will run for the same price as a good piggyback. even if your OBDII is working, if you have done some tuning, emissions will be off. if you did tuning and still passed emission, it's because you probably got a wopping 5-6whp...which is not worthed the effort going into this. Gains from an ecu are only as good as the quantity of mods....which is far from enough in many cases...wonder who the american retard is....
Yes, emission are big in some countries, but not all of them...also, there is a thing called a "owned right", which would make a new laws regarding emissions to apply to present-futur cars, not cars sold before the law passed....which would eliminate your concern...
If its so not worth it, and you think its not worth bothering with and any good old $200 piggyback will do, why did you ask how much?
A tuner with at least some respect for the environment tries to balance performance with emissions... power ain't everything.

Thank you for posting BlueSpanishShark.
and for you, LARRYMCFLY If you don't care about our planet, FINE. BUT, you will be among the first to notice all the changes that the EMISSIONS regulations are working to prevent.
Hell you could probably see them now, if you actually looked.
If this ECU tuning IS based on the MAF signals and not the MAP signals, AND it truely is OBDII compliant, then they will have TONS of orders coming soon.

I'll get a ecu out here, and if it passes here, it'll pass anywhere besides Japan maybe.
Our laws are strict as hell, and I just passed emissions at a state ref. after I stocked out the car, so its definitely a candidate for testing the validity of the 0DBII concerns.

Exactly.
Also, I belive in COMPETITION bringing in the BEST PRODUCTS. So we get MANY options out there for everyone, and whammo, we are all better off. Not to mention, someone that just wants that extra pep N/A, ECU is the way to go.

You don't think so? I have a finely engineered mid-engined car in storage I want you to go drive. It has a free revving 1.8 litre four... will rev WAY beyond the point that a beta would explode... yet only produces a measly 81 Hp due to the need to pass emissions back in 1976.
Trust me.. today is the best of both worlds. We have clean running cars that make HUGE amounts of power. Even economy cars make more power than my poor Lancia.
