Rally CAI

Is there anyone out there willing to make the CAI below?? its the one on the rally coupes, ive been able to get the front scoop (shown on the bonnet on the red car) but if i can get the CAI then it will make the scoop be morethan just eye candy and a bit of cooling, see pics below:

air goes in through the front scoop shown below

uz, thats more like a ram-air setup. Have no idea where you'd get one like that.

hve's is *sorta* like that. it'a cai that takes air from that scoop you have on your hood, instead of the fenderwell or some other place close to the ground.

well if you can even give me a lead i will look night and day till i find it because i personally would love to have something like that. Now that my exhaust is fitted the sound of the intake is negligable and i would rather have something like that which is OBVIOUSLY a more efficient cooling system. Im gonna start looking now. If you find anything on it please email me cause ill be 2nd or 3rd in line to get one

I would not want to mount anykind of air intake device over the radiator like that. It would heat up the airbox and negate most of the cold air effect, especially in "city" driving.

On rainy days, your air filter there would get horribly waterlogged, you'd pretty much guarantee to suck water into the intake tract with that kind of a setup.

Moving a scoop to near/behind the battery location would make much more sense. It would allow a pressurized airbox, and allow for water drainage, and an elevation change to further reduce the chance of water getting into the engine.

That is one phunky engine comparment. They relocated the ignition coils to the passenger side, and that is some wild looking intake manifold they have there. It appers to have the throttle body mounted BELOW the stock location, and have a "under over" intake plenum. eek!

Oh yeah 4got about water! thanx random

yea dont know about u uz but rain is a PITA over here in ireland....

anyway, it looks like the intake setup is carbon fibre so it will resist some of the heat from the radiator...

also think the manifold is ceramic coated (not polished sort)

Barry has the links and knows how to get all of them parts.

He posted some info about it awhile ago. Topic was called something like... "Bits from the UK" or some other limey shat.
