Performance?

I have a 2000 Tiburon 5-speed, and I dont know much about the performance part. I was wondering what a cam would do, and which one? Which SR header should I get? What is the difference in the BBTB's. And what does a underdrive pulley do? Any help would be greatley appreciated. Excuse my ignorance in this area. Thanks

Hi Sharkracer its better to ask Mr Random. He knows a lot about tibbies and he is the manager of sharkracing.I also have a question about 1.8gt cams.If i fit the in my tib will i lose midrange performance? Also how many hp will they give me?? :D

From what I remember it gives you more lift and the valves stay open a tiny bit longer and I think it gives you maybe 2-3 hp.

upgrading your cams would add more power to the entire rpm band.. but not much more..

you could save a lot of $$ and get more power from just getting a cold air intake (CIA) and SR headers with the complete cat-back exhaust system (speedstate?)...

underdrive pulleys are smaller pulleys that replace the factory pulleys on your engine. they are smaller, therefore require less energy to move them.. this in turn "frees" up horsepower.

sharkracer00:

One question per post please, or at least have the questions related (all exhaust questions or all TB questions..etc..etc..)

There are several current posts that go into detail on headers, Throttle Bodies, and Pulleys.

Please read those threads, and then post the questions you have on that appropriate thread.
