Does anyone know what is in our engines? I've searched a bunch here as well as HMA and cannot find any info on this stuff for the Beta. Thanks.

It would be a neat trick to get 300,000 miles with iron rings and aluminum sleeves!

That said, they sure got the alloy of the iron right. I've been inside an engine with 165k miles and it wasn't even worn through the factory machining marks on the cylinders.

so far nothing beats the iron nissan used on the rb26
i don't know the alloy they use but it's VERY hard,even my machinist couldn't belive how hard it was when we rebored one...
