i was sitting here dreaming of when my car will be done and all the sudden the question of oil pumps fluttered through my head.

i suppose nobody makes a better oil pump for us do they? actually, does anyone know what point the pump will fail at?

i am just concerned about the sproket shattering under high horse power and i know it will cost me my next 3 children to get one forged.

i wonder if the koreans ,that are making gobs of power, if they are using stock oil pumps.

time for more research.

I would think that the stock pump would be sufficent.. unless you are making 400 or more HP.. really, there is no more stress on the pump in a stock car than a modded one.. it still runs at the same speeds and pumps the same amount of oil.
