Oil pressure test

Where can I tap in to do an oil pressure check? Reading low oil pressure at hot idle so trying to do a test.

At the pressure switch to test the lower block. At the end of the head galley to test the head pressure.

Pressure switches go bad, and are cheap, so buy a new one and see if the light goes away.

just out of curiosity what pressure would you expect to see at the block from a standard pump.

thanks,

24PSI at a warm idle is the spec, I forget if it's at the block or at the head. An old gearhead's rule of thumb is 10PSI per 1000RPM when hot, and always have relatively fresh oil, and you'll be okay with most engines - not sure how well that applies to our hydraulic valvetrain parts.
