What oil do you usually use?

right now im using 10w30 synthetic, but my car burns oil a bit and synthetic seems to burn faster.

And does high mileage oil work any good?

10W30 Amsoil Synthetic...Awesome oil.

K&N oil filter.

Car has 160, 000 Kms, and uses almost no oil.

Currently use Mobil 1 Clean 5000 10w-30(conventional) but about to switch to Royal Purple 10w-30 synthetic.

Mobile1 0W-40 Fully Synthetic which is used for many OEM turbocharged BMWs, MBs, AUDIs, and VWs.

I use Royal Purple 5w-30 and i like it. I don't have any problems with burning oil but then again i never did have any problems with burning oil. So all i can recommend is using a thicker oil (worked for me on my old pos escort) or rebuilding your engine. I don't know much about the high mileage oil but theoretically it should work better.
