Arcleo,

its best to run a car without the cel on!!!

when the cel is on, the car will run on what's its called "limp mode" it means the ecu will only run the car according to the "preprogrammed" specs from the factory. this means that anything you put on; headers, exhaust and etc wont be as effective and efficient.

so spend the extra cash (it wont be much) and the time to get the 2nd o2 bung in there and extend the wires of the o2 sensor

i have a header with 2 o2 bungs, no cats and no check engine lights..... go figure, and that comment of having no cats wont give you enough power to where you can feel it is a lie. Have you ever done it? if not then how would you know? it is illegal tho so dont do it lmao.gif

haha now I am a liar lol laugh.gif

How much hp do you "FEEL" when you dont have the cat?

No cat = no CEL = No good for your car because when there's something important part missing and the ECU don't catch it, I don't think your car is running the way it is supposed to be. You just FEEL that you car is running great, but you have no idea what's going on inside your car. tongue.gif

nate read my post.... "i have a header with 2 o2 bungs, no cats and no check engine lights..... go figure" that means my car is running fine right? if it wasnt, then i think it would feel sluggish or maybe have some sort of problum or maybe i would guzzle gas or my engine would be starving for gas? if you would like to prove me wrong I will be going to English town over the summer, bring your car to the track and i will dust you fing02.gif all im saying is dont try to explain something you have never done. I have never driven a Lamborghini so I cant tell you how it feels right?

You are using one of those MIL-Eliminators on the front O2 Sensor? Does it run okay? I am planning on getting a high flow cat and putting the front O2 sensor into there when I do the rest of the exhaust, but that probably won't be until this summer. I don't want to put a bung directly into the header's if its only gonna be there for a few month. Right now I just keep clearing CEL with an OBD-II scanner I have. Do you have any problems with the engine running too rich? I read using the MIL-Elimantor's on the front O2 sensor can wreck havok with your engine :-\

^^ The rear o2 sensor goes behind the cat, not the front. Don't get confused. The front stays near your motor in the header and is VITAL in maintaining A/F.

there would be no reason to run one on the primary o2. only the secondary o2 would need one without a cat installed.
