Should I be able to feel any vacumn on the input side, the entry from the tank vapor catch? Disconnect results in no noticeable engine performance change. Other side of course does. New gas cap tried for first go around. Lite returns.

 

Only from the intake line in the engine bay next to the battery. In 2001s the line is extended to the rear. That should be a constant vacum. The purge valve is activated electronically and only comes on for a few seconds but only when it is pressurized.
