The wiring order has been reversed for 1998+, and since there is no wiring diagram for the 1997 Tiburons on the internet, I've made one with the help of Bullfrog and DrivingTibNaked.

If you've accidently cut your harness side connector from the inconvenience of cheap universal oxygen sensors, here you go.

well we already talked through the shoutbox, but if it works, I believe a general wiring guideline is pretty simple:
Black>Black
Gray>Gray
and white>white (I believe they are interchangeable).
You'll have to confirm this later once you get back from your drive/emissions...

HKC, PM me your e-mail and exactly what you want (and year) and i will look it up for you in mitchel on demand 5. It has color diagrams and i will e-mail them for you when i get off work (should be home by 4:30-5:00 EST)
ill try to take a look at my 98 when i am fixing my timing tensioner and belt Adam. My car was technically manufactured October 17th, 1997 so I may have the 97 wiring. Ill take a look, write down colors, and try and snap a pic too. It may be a few days though as it's 4 degrees here lol. I will try to on maybe sunday.

thanks boys. i wouldn't want you to go through the trouble of jacking up the car. i thought maybe someone has some photos lying around. you can tell if your plugs and voltage have been upgraded just by looking at the front O2 sensor plug in the engine bay. there are two different kinds of plugs, one that is boxy and small is from 1986-1997, and the rounded ones are from 1998-present.
Don't go through the trouble just yet. Tomorrow I'm going to be switching my white wires, maybe that'll help. So come night I'll have an answer.
thank you again.

bullfrog, my e-mail is goldeye355 @ aol.com. you would save me from having to get another sensor. but if you cannot find anything about it hey don't sweat it. i setup another appointment for wednesday for free. if that doesn't work then i'm just getting another sensor and calling quits.

i went ahead and switched the 2 white wires. we'll see tonight i'm taking it for a cruise. stupid thing should work. whats the probability of getting 2 out of 4 wires wrong. sucks hyundai doesn't even have their colors written down anywhere at all. i suppose the manuals don't leave any room for regret.
I switched the white wires, still the same thing.
*8pm, P0137 - O2 Sensor Circuit Low Voltage (Bank 1 Sensor 2) after driving.
you know what? f it, i'm just gonna order a new f* sensor. It was working fine before I spliced it. Stupid stupid stupid.

anybody got a shot of a 1997 Oxygen Sensor plug? I deleted mine. If so, then thanks to bullfrog I can make a wiring diagram once and for all. There are none that exist. All I need is the photo.
Anyone can do it just by popping their hood and taking a photo of the connector from the first O2.
Help!!
