Default Muffler's glasspack vibrating... does it happen to yours?

Lately, I am hearing weird vibrating noise coming from muffler and I think it is a glasspack inside the muffler vibrating when the air passes through it. It does not, however, occur every time. It only happens when I press the gas pedal hard after the car is moderately cooled down (ex. pressing hard on the highway on the way back from burger place). Does your muffler sometimes make this sound? Or is my muffler defective?

I dont have a glasspack, but my Flowmaster does make a wierd noise, when I turn it on after, I "raced" it for a little while.

But maybe that will change when I get my Exhaust redone... in a couple of weeks

Is the sound coming from the glasspack or the muffler? Do you have a perforated core or Louvered glasspack?

Take it to your local exhaust shop and let them listen to it. They should have more experience in "strange sounds" and should be able to tell you the cause.

I'm pretty sure that it's coming from the muffler... However since it does not occur everytime, it's hard to take it to the shop and let them check it.

It could be the muffler or pipes themselves rattling. The stock hangers are ****e! My stock muffler used to swing about an inch to each side when you started the car. I put new hangers on the muffler when I put on the MBRP muffler and its solid now. Stop by an exhaust shop and purchase some new ones.
