It's not a good idea the try and make a 2.25" pipe 2.5" your better off replacing it, selling the old mid pipe, also consider the axel back is 2.25" that will be a bottle neck so just redo it all, the only reason you will need to go 2.5" is with force induction, N/A is happy with 2.25"

ah, I see, 2mm is a bit thin for 2.5" but the dimentions you'll need to measure it off your own car since it sounds like a custom muffler etc etc.

What do you think is the ideal thickness of the pipe(like the MBRP Mid Pipe Exhaust).
The place I went has 3mm but it will weight a bit more and I wasn't sure about the thickness.

Thanks

Good stainless can actually be 1.5mm thick, but there are different grades of 304 and 409 stainless to thats why you should stick with 2mm or so. If your doing a custom job let a shop do it, don't just by stainless pipe and try and use it or take it to the shop, you'll spend more after they rebend it.
