I've decided to rid my current Apex'i replica muffler. I'm just so tired of it sounding like a chainsaw, even with the 28' glasspack. Haha yeah imagine white rice instead of snow this christmas.

"Street Series is designed for the souped up street machine. It features a high flow tuning tube balanced to the needs of the high revving import engine. Unlike many of the low-priced imports, MagnaFlow uses a 16 gauge stainless steel body and end caps, with a one piece core, and filled with a high temperature acoustic suppression material, NOT fiberglass."

2.25" Inlet, 3.5" Diameter Tips
Double Wall, Straight Cut
4" Tip Length
14" Muffler Body Length

I know it costs a lot, but it's the only thing that will make me happy. Do you think this would sound nicer than the cheap tin can I have on right now under 2.25' mild steep piping? Think this will fit in the under axle setup I have?

Another crazy idea is to get two of these and have an exhaust shop make me a dual tipped dual magnaflow muffler exhaust, how does that sound?!?!

mang magnaflow/dynomax make some of the best mufflers you can buy it will be quieter on the outside but expect more interior resonance

Ya, it may resonate a little more inside... but I'm sure a little bit of dynamatting would take it below what it is now.

Let this be proof to other members that Apexi replica does not equal Apexi quality.

I have a magnaflow muffler for sale about 50 bucks cheaper than that...

but it's probbaly not the style you want (I've heard this muffler on cars before, it's fairly quiet).

i love magnaflow mufflers

They are the best when it comes to performance,... and they dont sound like fart pipes.

Ill see if i can dig up the article that declared it a winner in their dyno challenge.

Well it looks nice but it will look terrible if you don't get your exhaust shop to angle it straight tongue.gif

That's what I was about to say.... It will not look good with the angle you have now. You will need to redo the whole exhaust...

haha yeah no sweat man, remember they f*cked up my angle? it's pretty crimped up under there, but there's still a lot of straight gas coming out so the flow isn't really all that disrupted. i really should have pictures of, it, but yeah it's just about straight right now at a 100 degree angle so they can bent it back 10 more degrees.

all i want is the sound and the looks from the magnaflow. interior resonance won't bother me as long as it's very nice . OP, now i really regret not putting on your Motoria!!! I hope what I'm going to to in the next weeks pulls through and sounds good and i'll finally be happy with it...

patreezy, send a pic through so we can compare and contrast. at least i have some backup from you guys now that this is a good choice. i would be worried if someone had an unhappy experience. you know i won't really mind the sound either if it's not loud. i'd rather have a good sounding muffler than a chainsaw. lmao.gif

oh yes, the replica Apex'i probably most definitely doesn't sound like the real thing. well, at least this is proof. i'm sorry for whatever the brand of this muffler is, it's definitely a performance one, definitely makes some noise and purrs, but it's not what i intended. the stainless or whatever it's made out of is really thin compared to other mufflers.
