Default little plans/motor work for next summer

Just bought a 2.0 beta 2 block but I have a 99 beta 1 head.. I herd that they don't quite bolt up you have to do a few things. But I'm not sure what they are?

Mmm, I dont think you can mate a beta2 block with a beta 1 head,or vise versa...Valves and Hla's ,galleys,channels,too much wrong.

I know the OP is asking about a Beta II block and Beta I head but I can confirm that a Beta II head on a Beta I block works without any issues. The only thing to use a Beta II head on a Beta I block is to remove the oil restrictor in one of the oil passageways so that more oil can get to the MLAs of the Beta II head. I have done this swap and have been running without any issues for about a year.

P.S

I've had my beta stock pistons tops milled about a 1mm to lower compression for forced induction so after about a 1000k I'll get it on the dyno to see how it goes also Ive had my auto rebuilt with a shift kit and a more stall torque converter.
