Link between intake and exhaust tone
OK I have a full custom exhaust and have had the same issues evey one else has had with the "buzzing" sound and harsh exhauts tone. I also untill Today had the AOS intake.....Today I switched to the AEM intake and noticed my exhaust tone is much mellower, helped a ton with the harsh buzzing sound. I am curious what intakes people that have issues with the Buzzing sound are running.....could the sound be reduced with certian intakes as my case was and would it be worse with the stock intake.
this is just a question that i would be interested in seeing more information on....
just thought the sound change from AOS to AEM was worth posting.

I dount there is much of a link between the two... save for the engine between them. You were probably hearing a frequency resonance between them. They were probably both hitting a certain note at the same time in the powerband and amplifying the sound. With the longer cool air intake, you changed the frequency of the intake "honk" Longer often means a deeper tone..
