Was just wondering if people with the LED lighting, at least in the dome light, could supply me with a pic of what it looks like at night.......And possibly a link of where the bulb came from.
Seems there is always some discussions about what fits, and what don't. I just want some input from people that actually have them, and are working.
That way I know what fits, and what don't.
I have found some bulbs, but not sure how they light up, pretty sure that they would fit. Just need to see them in action.
Also, I went to walmart, and bought a de3175 blub, IT DIDN"T FIT, what the hell is with that?
Any input appreciated

here's a video of my cockpit/interior lighting as seen from the driver's seat. All of the interior is custom and all incandescent lighting has been swapped for LEDs. All of my LEDs are custom except the ones in the corners, backup, markers and tails, which I purchased from superbrightleds.com and other online stores. Running count is 240 individual LEDs. The video makes it look less blue.
click for video. note: stupid song is because original was NSFW with the music.

another note: the video destroyed the color. The interior illumination is all blue.

strikeeagle, do you have to order anything besides the cathode kit? or just the kit?
And where do you wire these into, the 3rd brake light?
Any suggestions for the dome/map light?

I posted all of these awhile ago.
use the DE3022.
I got mine from VLeds on Ebay. Get the HIGH power SMT/SMD ones, they are fantastic!

Just one cathode kit, it comes with 2 cathodes and 1 inverter (supports both cathodes).
I ran the power straight from the trunk light, through the grommet, and across the trunk lid itself. The little inverter is mounted inside there and runs straight to the cathodes.
My goodness, I just realized you were talking about the dome light, not the trunk light... Me = loser. owned.gif
I'm actually in your same predicament, been looking for a good LED bulb for the map lights. RedZ, are one of these the ones you were referring to?
1W HP LED
16 LED
9 LED
I'm not sure if we have room for the 16 LED one or even the 9 LED one, hopefully you mean the first one?

you can also look into the kit that diode dynamics sells for the GK rear hatch, it will fit on our deck lid also.
I got the kit from diode dynamics plus i will be doing the same thing that strike has in his car since i wanted to get a suntan when i open the rear, lol.

Both myself and Rixshark will swear by Oznium.com for all your led lighting needs.
i agree bought quite a few things from them, always been great customer service and fast shipping
my friend put two red cathodes under his dash on his raider and the little guys light up way brighter than my street glow tubes, and they are like 2" longer
they were also about $30 cheaper

think it would be possible to mount those into the hatch, where they are not exposed like they are.
I like the look, like the price of the kit, I just don't like the fact of having 2 things stuck onto my hatch like that.
Answering my own question I suppose, but I know you can do it, but more a matter of how to go about doing it, and what to use to do it.
