Keelee's not shifting
Ok, so Toby's gf has been having abit of problems, for those who dont know Toby and Keelee are lovers, Toby being my car and Keelee being blkattack00's Tib. Thats the pre-story, now tot he meat of the stuff, Keelee is a 2000 Tib, its an automatic. And for some reason shes not shifting above 2nd gear. 1st gear is normal in drive, and then it goes to second but it dosent go above that. There is a/t fluid, and there are no weird sounds so what can it be? ECU melfunction? Vacum leak?
i'll kill the person who didn't edit this before validating it. there are 4 lines of garbage.

You say the fluid level is good, but when is the last time it was changed? What about the tranny fluid filter?
If both have been serviced within the last 10,000 miles, I would reccomend you take it to a good quality transmission repair shop and have them look at it.
If you HAVEN'T serviced the transmission recently... SHAME ON YOU! Order in a tranny fluid filter, and the tranny pan gasket, and some fluid. Drail the fluid, remove the bottom pan, replace the filter, install new gasket, re-install tranny pan (and drain plug), refill tranny. Check the tranny level after 10 miles of driving. Those little passages sometimes take a bit of running/driving to fill up.
Lastly... Do you have a MIL/CEL on? Pulling the OBD-2 code might help diagnose the problem.

Sorry guys, kit was only trying to help my tibby(keelee) haha. Let me add a bit more info to help though. I had all my fluids checked/filters changed about a month ago. I'm usually pretty good about getting her in. I'm not exactly sure what the problem is. It seems to me that my transmisson is real tight and holds 1st gear fine but once I go over 25 it pretty much depends on my cars mood. Like for instance going into town yesterday I had no major problems (I occasionally felt it slip out of gear then jerk into gear again) but coming home I was doing about 65 and was slowing down for a light and it literally felt like I'd been hit because as soon as I touched my brakes my rpms jumped up and my car jerked extremely hard. It felt like I went straight from 3rd (or 4th not sure what gear 65 would be sorry) to 1st. I'm taking it to the Hyundai dealer by me tomorrow to get it checked out though. But I do have one question. If I have to for some reason buy a whole new transmission would it be cheaper to buy an after market tranny and have my car club guys put it in for free for me, or buy a stock tranny and have the hyundai dealer put it in. By the way, I have no warranty on my car at all, I'm the second owner, she's 5 years old and....82,000 miles...Barely missed it.
Just read H3NDR1X15's post....dang it! That sounds exactly like what mine's doing....great......my luck with this tibby is horrible!!

Yes, it would be cheaper to buy a used/rebuilt transmission and have friends install it for ya. It can be done in 4-6 hours. You can pick up a used tranny for about $300, or a rebuilt unit for about $1000.
Since this happened within 30 days of a fluid and filter change, I would point the cause there. It sounds like it didn't get put back together right after the last fluid/filter change, or that they used the wrong kind of fluid. I would do the fluid/filter change again yourself (or have friends do it), so that you are 100% sure that you put in the right fluid, filter, etc...
