Thought I'd let everyone know as it's been a while since I posted an update.

Walboro 255lph H/P pump arrived on Thursday. RC Engineering is shipping the injectors tomorrow. Block is going to the shop on Friday for the final blueprint work. Bought a Profec-B controller for $200 cash on Wednesday. Venom is sending me a new diaphragm for my rising rate FPR to set it to a 2:1 unit.

The very last part of the core build is shipping from Australia:

Sounds great. When does the first "phase" of the install start? i.e. how much are you going to bite off at once? smile.gif

I got some madboost parts today too. Onpol's TD2 wastegate and manifold. I thought I was getting his used one and he sent me a brand new one. speaking of which,

Red, what manifold did you end up going with?

John Urist of Urist Racing will be building the manifold. A little more money that most would want to spend, but it's el-primo absolute top-notch stuff. 4-1 tuned manifold with a TIAL 4-bolt external wastegate attachment.

John Urist built the manifolds that he uses on his own 7.7 second turbo Mustang -- it took 2nd place overall in the world in NHRA Outlaw class last year :D

I figure he likely has some good experience wink

I am taking the entire week, beginning March 16th through March 24th to do the ENTIRE install. Engine replaced, fuel system replaced, computer replaced. Hitman is sending me maps that are "basically" set for what I'm running, give or take. He's about 98% sure that the engine will fire on the first try with these maps given the info I provided.

After the engine breaks in for about 1200 miles N/A, I'll drag it to Roswell (closest 1/4 mile track) and I'll get some numbers out of it. Take it to the dyno for more scrutiny on the Haltech maps.

I should be weenie-boosting by May -- the only thing keeping me from Madd Boost™ at that point will be the differential in the stock tranny.

As I told Random over the phone: As soon as the motor is capable of severe-duty horsepower AND I have my _real_ transmission ready (ie Quaife + hybrid Elantra setup) then Joel and I will take the digicam and make movies for you guys titled: What happens to a stock Hyundai diff under 350WHP :D

It's gonna be a blast :D

Nah, Onpol has blown two seperate differentials, neither of which even came out of the bellhousing. Any worries I have are about getting the car back to Joel's garage while there's "sand" in the tranny hehehe...

The Haltech is coming with maps for 720cc injectors, so it looks like I'm going to need to pare it down just a tad before I can start it up.

what size pistons are you going with??? where from???

I fried 2 spark plugs like 3 weeks ago and i lost 30 pounds of compression,... so im keeping this option open. i know the stock ones give out like about 210,... whats a good size for a 250, well actually like 210-220 tongue.gif , nitrous application including other N/A bolt ons??? :confused:

A set of Hyper-U's would be better for low-power applications. Talk to UFB about getting a set of theirs... They aren't gonna hold for severe-duty power, but they'd be cheaper than a forged set and they'll work fine for light nitrous / blower / turbo use.

The forged pistons I'm using are provided by Ross Racing -- 9:1 compression, custom ring sizing, floating pins with locks. I paid right at $550 for the entire set of four with rings and shipping.

The Ballistic Racing hyper-u pistons are $265 for the set and they lower your compression to 8.2:1.
