As you know in my country the new gk coupe comes with three type of engines
a.1.6ltrs with Alpha2 motor*not beta anymore 105ps

b.2.0ltrs beta motor with 140hp

c.2.7delta motor with 171hp.

Hyundai hellas is now offering a turbo gk edition of the 1.6alpha motor.I dont know about specs but at the advertisement the car proiduces 145hp with this turbosetup.The car has guarantee of 5years and unlimited miles..

Whats your opinion on that??Do you think that the alpha2 motor with the turbokit will work well???

why would they put so a small motor in such a heavy hyundai.

 

Yes its offered from Hyundai and not the dealer ...
The reason they put this alpha motor in coupe is because of crappy fvcking tax system in Greece.If you have 2.0ltr tib then your annual income should be at least 7.000.000USD anually.This is a rather high income for the majority of people so they stick to lower displ.vehicles....

I hate fvking EU laws..Lets wait and see what Mr Monty will do for that with the block exemption.

 

Are you sure the 2.0 tib is 140 HP? Here in Canada the Tib WAS advertised as 140HP but was later found that the information was a lie and is actualy only 134.

 

Actually 2.0tib is 136hp....

But the gk tuscani was 171hp from the beginning.Hyundai didnt claim it was 185hp...So hyundai tells the truth at least in Europe..

BTW the new vvti beta is 136+7 equals 143hp tongue.gif

 

That's not the drastic change I was hoping for from a 2 liter with Hyundai's brand of VTEC. Why even bother?

the 2.0L is 140hp. Its a lie. look at dynos, they make about 125whp. which is right with 140hp.
