Intake/Exhaust cam pair

Does anyone have these?

I knew that Hwarang made headers and from what I hear, they are pretty decent. I think these cams go with the stock ECU as well.

It says on the website that ECU upgrade is required and I'm pretty sure they are out of stock.

I don't mean to hijack this, but do we even have any other options for cams other than the Hwarangs and the XD/GT intake cam on Kspec?

ok... in HP.com why they are offering the CAMS and don't have the ECU?? In wich way have to be modified the ECU?? what about the gains???

My friend has only the Intake CAM plus BBTB and pulleys... and he is like very low 15's or flat.... The car has A LOT OF WEIGHT... so I can only imagine that the combination of the intake and exhaust CAM can give you real (or decent) HP gain.....

You can buy only the Intake CAM if you don't want to make any ECU upgrade....

Now sorry for a little offtopic.gif

I have like a 1 Year old price list of RPW, can anyone have the new one?? are they selling in US$ or AU$... Also I visit their webpage.... found nothing for Hyundai....

You didn't look hard enough then, they have lots of hyundai stuff.

Kspec.com can get you about any cam you need too, unfortunately though, you need ecu tuning with most cams.

Supertech can also get you a nice set of cams. About the ecu, the car should run ok with cams. It won't be optimal but it will run and you will see improvements. There are some ways around it. I know a few setups that have a stock ecu and 210whp wink1.gif You will need a piggy back to get the "last mile" out of your cams.

Your fuel and ignition maps will have to be modified. 10-20whp gain on a well tuned car with supporting mods.

Well, it all depends on what is your goal with cams, what power numbers, what torque numbers (actually if you gain a lot of power with a huge torque loss, my guess is you will have little improvements in overall performance).

If your goal is to keep your car daily drivable, then you cant get too big/duration cams, and you could get away without the ECU tuning but then you won't be able to get 100% out of the cams. In that case also, it's not worth to invest in both cams because our exhaust cam is pretty decent; also in that case I would recommend the REAL intake cam + ECU combo; you couold get the most out of an intake cam.

If you want a full race camshaft set (which I guess you don't because you are asking for the Hwarang cams and you mentioned could do it wothout the ECU) then you should get both cams and a real ECU swap and tuning.
