Anybody have an Idea about the amount of torque the new Gt's tranny and joints take.?

And Random or Red what would cause this.

Few years ago I had an 88 Chevy Berreta.

In the end it ran and misfired all the time. On my way to the GF's place it was dying hard and I was going slow. One cylinder kept misfiring.
Well all of a sudden I hear a loud BOOM. The car goes dead and I fight it off the road.
It would turn over but no start (hmmm maby the boom caused this)

popped the hood and looked around. Oil All over the place but the head was alright.
I crawled under the car and found a hole the size of my fist in the bottom of the block on piston 1.

I have nightmares (sometimes) that this will happen to my TIB.
Any Ideas. I tought (and still do) that it just misfired so many times that it was full of fuel and they when it did fire just way to much force.
