High Comp, Cams, Smt6, ...
I know these topics have been covered before but I need to know for sure in combination...
I already have I/H/E installed on my 2.0L beta1. I also have a second IM in my garage waiting for my 4.6L Mustang TB to be shipped to port match it to 65mm (I think i will give it try try, because nobody else will).
I can get a set of 264° cams for cheap and want to add 1.8L pistons.
These pistons should rise compression to nearly 11:1 right?
Do you suggest to add an smt6 to this setup or should I wait with the smt6 until I ported and polished my head.
What about adjustable cam gears? My local speedshop told my to install it with the 264° cams. Do I really need more overlap or do these cam gears have any othe benefit I don't know about?

For the cams, the gears could help get the most power out of them. However, with the camshafts and the slightly higher compression, you will need the SMT-6. Without it the car probably wouldn't run, or would run very very poorly.

thanks its just like 5 of the wires or so and is it easy to find the right ones?
Basically. Really 90% of the time its just tearing the car apart to get to the ECU that manufacturers like to hide in all the worst places.
