Default Hey Random or Red. JUST In Case.

I was wondering. If I damage my engine (2k3 tib GT) and need new pistons, rods, injectors and cams. where would I go. Im sure I could get them from the dealer but say I wanted something stronger. No so much to go faster but will take more HP.
You know what I mean.??

Thanx rolleyes.gif smile.gif

the crank is weak,... thats a BIG $$$ mod

just do headers/intake/ exhaust

that should satisfy you for a while, and you would still be in the safe limit

i have the new issue of sport compact car..
they talk about the new tiburon v6, 6 speed.
weight: 3023lb DRY (with gas and driver, its over 3300 LB.

they dynoed it too..

HP: 148
TQ: 161

thats right, more torque than horsepower...

1/4 mile time was 15.6 @ 88.8 mph.
0 to 60mph = 7.6 sec

(so my elantra is quite faster hahah)

now that i've got my bottle heater, i can actually use the entire 70 shot and run high 14's smile.gif

some other cars 1/4 mile times:

acura rsx-type s
15.0 @ 94.5 mph

Ford Focus SVT
15.8 @ 89.5 mph

Mazda Miata
16.0 @ 84.5 mph

Sentra SE-R Spec V
15.4 @ 90.8 mph

Toyota Celica GT-S
15.8 @ 88.6 mph

Toyota MR2 Spyder
15.1 @ 89.1 mph

Subaru WRX Turbo AWD

Oh I am.. Now when you Say $$$$ you mean I have to have them custom. I just ordered the some parts to start working on my cold air. And looked at a pair of 18*y Motegi Charcoal rims ;-) on my red tib that should look sharp as hell.

Im also going to do the exaust when the new headers come out and BBTB when I find a shop that can bore out my Intake manifold. But Im also looking at the zex kit. Proll gonna run a 55 to 65 untill I get new internals for my block.

On a side note. The local speed shop called zex today when I told them how much shark was selling for. HE thought they might be loosing cash (hehe) he managed to talk his way into a deal. If I can get 7 people to buy kits. He will sell them for about 450 to 470. smile.gif

But in anycase.. Where would I even go to find internal parts. After market, the deal, costum made..

Thanx guys

ross will custom make new pistions to your specs...but you will have to send them one stock unit for them to measure/scope out.

Crower will custom build you rods, but again, you will have to send them a stock unit for them to measure/scope out.

Ross charges about $600 for a 4 pistion set, expect 50% higher for a 6 pistion set.

Crower charged about $500 for a set of 4 rods. Expect about 50% higher prices for 6 rods.

Gee!! You already got your new tib. Well I am waiting for mine I ordered since august last year. It seems the backlog is large and we guys from Costa Rica are still waiting while they deliver inventory in the US. Any way I can help you, I ordered my internals custom made (pistons and rods turbo specs and CR 9to1)I even sent them the samples to have JE and Pauter build them. They are ready but have not arrived to Costa Rica but neither my car. Any way contact Steve Nelson at www.racetep.com The company is Top End Performance and located in California. They already built a set so you do not need to wait for 2 or 3 month to get them.

Actually Random had it just a little backwards smile.gif

Ross charged about $500 for a set of four pistons, so expect a bit more.

Crower charged almost $700 for a set of four rods, so expect a bunch more.

Both were good for massive power, I would expect something else to break before those two parts ever would.
