hey guys i didnt know exactly where to talk about this so i figured id ask it here because its about clutches! I bought my 98 tiburon fx in october and its a great car pretty quick, i havent had any serious problems with it yet ( knock on wood lol) the guy before me had it and i dont know what he did to it or to some of the wiring because my fog lights dont have any power going to them nor do my day time lights work! But anyways to the point, my clutch hasnt worked properly since day one! The dealer i bought the clutch from installed a new clutch b4 i bought the car and i drove it for a while not long and i went to gun it and shift into 2nd and i noticed the clutch slipped so i brought it to my mechanic and he bled the clutch system and said the clutch was good. so after he did that the clutch worked great! 2 weeks later it started acting up it would slip whenever it wanted to! id gun it and sometimes it would grab and work beautifully and other times it would slip like crazy. So i brought it back got it adjusted and bled again then he changed my master slave cylinder i believe thats the name for it could b wrong sorry, and the car has been great since ( Its a stock aftermarket clutch ) it hasnt slipped since. My only question is i have the stock rims on the car for now because i have winter tires on them thats how i got the car and the winter tires are a size bigger then the stock tire size. Now if i rev up the car in neutral and pop the clutch the tires dont spin or when i gun it in first and shift quickly my tires dont spin its almost like there is a little delay and then it goes fast after the shift. Is that normal? ive looked on youtube and noticed it happend to some other tiburons but only some of them do it ? Is there something wrong with my clutch? I just find it odd bcuz i use to own a 98 elantra 5 spd and i never had a problem the tires spun like crazy lol and the 1.8 isnt as peppy as the 2.0. O and one other thing if im in 1st gear and lets say im doing 20 and i gun it the tires spin .
