Would it be hard to do an engine swap with a v6 sonata for the v6 tiburons? I read someone saying why don't they have the sonata's engine in for the tiburons because it has a 3.3 liter engine vs. the tiburons 2.7 liter ???

why not take the mitsu version of the 3.8 lamda motor and bolt the tib 6 speed to it and mount it in the Tib with Eclipse springs. it will fit (ina GK) ive seen them side by side.

One - Search

Two - It's not worth it

Three - That's not the right font of the Tiburon lettering for an RD. That is GK. Says you have a 00. Fix your sig! lol

Four - Supercharger the Delta and build it, it will be cheaper and easier. Engine swaps aren't like putting on bolt ons... There's tons of fab work needed, more than a one man job in most cases, and it is not cost effective. Then engine in a Sonata isn't really built for racing man. That's why the tib exists.

EDIT: And no offense to you man, but if you had problems putting a Cold air intake in, I wouldn't even think of attempting an engine swap... Given, I'm not near or even remotely close to being one of the better mechanics here, but i've done everything to my car by myself, and I wouldn't dream of doing an engine swap myself.

its not worth the swap, if you wanna be unique and waste some money, go ahead.

that lettering is on his dash, so he can't just switch the font.. its not GK font anyway. theres no SPECIFIC font people have to use to have tiburon lettering in their car or anything.. personally i hate the dragonfly font look.

 

why not ask why babies wear daipers instead of underwear?
