gt cam upgrade soon
Hey everyone. I am planning on getting the gt cams for my car. I did a search and got a part# 24100-23550. I talked to the people at hyundai and they said it would be better to get both cams done(intake&exhaust). That part # is for the intake cam i think. Anyone know the other part #? Has anyone replaced both cams before? I also need to know how hard it would be to do myself. My brother used to work for volvo so he has some engine exp. any help on this would be great. thanks in advance. Jeff
sorry, i have the 2L 97 tib and i also need to know if they are any other misc parts like nuts and bolts that i need to pick up before i do this.

You DO NOT need the exhaust cam. The exhaust cam you have is the best one you can get. You ONLY need the INTAKE cam.
BTW...if you can find a place that can beat Shark Racings $125 shipped price, let us know! Just thought I would mention it, as it should save you at least $20 and as much as $50 off your dealers price for the cam.

I would go the SR route there Jersey. I got the full deal: Journal bolts, seal and cam. Can't beat that. Also, buy a torque wrench if you don't have one already. Those journal bolts are touchy as hell and I've heard more than one horror story about them snapping off.
