Either would be an excellent choice.

Silver conducts better then any element, but it oxidizes over time, battery terminal grease fixes this. Gold does not oxidize and is among the highest electrical conductors.

Neither are cost effective compared to lead.

I was always under the impression that in most automotive applications the use of gold is totally unfounded and results in zero increase in electrical efficiency.

I could see and argument in audio but for battery terminal it seems like overkill. Any feedback or data? Just curious

Anyone who has gold terminals that have not oxidized, having replaced silver (or lead) ones that did, might disagree with that impression.

For the record, gold does oxidize, but not under any conditions you are likely to experience in a car (and live to tell about it)

If you're going for the corrosion factor I definitely see gold then, yes.
