HEy guys!
Just wondering if anyone has any issues with Fuel dropping upon starting up there cars with aftermarket Fuel pumps and FPR...
I have a Walboro 255 high preessure fuel pump with an Aeromotive FPR installed and what happens is upon starting up my car and by having the Igntion in the On position BEFORE starting the car i noticed my Fuel pressure dropping quickly on my gauge inside the car....
What i mean is this................
Before i turn the ignition key on in my car my gauge it reads 45psi which is set at idle....
As soon as i turn the igniton key all the way BEFORE starting the car the needle rapidly drops down to 0psi and then quickly to 60psi and then in about 5 -10 sec the fuel starts to drop all the way down to 0psi..
This would explain why my start up in th emorning at times takes a few shots to get it started becuse fuel pressure is dropping down quickly and NOT staying steady....
Now i have heard that aftermarket pumps CAN tent to do this by NOT holding Fuel pressure because its not like OEM where it has a check valve. BUT i had a spare new WALBORO Fuel pump and installed it and the same problem is there..
Even when i crimp the return line it still drops...
Just wondering if anyone has noticed this with Aftermarket Fuel pumps
UNDER LOAD IM NOT DROPPING
Thanks!
