Default Fuel booster....???

Hi i recently bought a can of fuel additive. The construction co.is Wynn´s and it says that it increases the octans of the gasoline. It says that it can inncrease the octans up to +10(power booster). The can contains 325ml of a liquid that is inserted in your tank before filling. It says that its better to use it with super unleaded fuel.I tried it once and my car works much better and smoother.Whats your opinion on this product? Will this destroy my catalyst???

it should not harm the cats.

do not use octane boosters that say " nitro " on the outside... these actually have some nitro methane inside wich increases detonation , specially if you use nitrous or turbo or supercharger..

Most Octane boosters will not harm your car or your cat.

They may eat the paint right off your car if you spill them. *just a warning* I know of 2 board members who had to have their car repainted around the fuel filler because of this.

If your car is stock, or near stock, you should not need octane boost. Our engines are designed to run on normal low octane pump gas.
