Default Exhaust Gasket

I just ordered a Shark Racing 4-2-1 header and was wondering if i need to buy a gasket or does it come with one? And why are they posting a $350 price tag when it rings up $400 when one buys it?! I see the asterix but nothing to define it on the site! Oh well, i stil bought it 'cause racing starts up next week here in VA!!!! vroooooom vrooooooom!!

Rich.

May I ask why you went with the 4-2-1 headers if you have a manual? Nothing is wrong with it.just curious.

This is new.
I was under the impression that the 4-2-1 headers provide better performance around all RPM's and the 4-1's raise the high end performance with the expense of the low.
What difference does it make if you have a manual or not?

Z?

Yeah, the 4-1 will give you a higher peak HP in the higher RPM range, at the expense of low-end power. And yep, the 4-2-1 will give you more distributed power, but a slightly lower peak.

With a 5-speed, you can shift in whatever range you want, and therefore maintain your revs in the range you want. The automatic will tend to choose a lower RPM than you might otherwise want for peak performance. Also, since there are only 4 gears in the auto, the revs will drop farther than a 5-speed when it shifts.

Since you don't have the same freedom to spin your crank really really fast with an auto, you're better off using the 4-2-1 headers.

Well, okay, that's all beautiful and all, and yes 4-2-1 give distributed power, and 4-1 give higher end for those who race, and yeah, just becuase i have a 5-speed (how'd you know i had a 5-speed?) it wouldn't matter. BUT!!! Does the Shark Racing 4-2-1 Header kit Come With ALL Necessary GASKETS??! For $400 bones it should! tongue.gif
