Default exhaust completing question?

got 4-2-1 headers getting a new muffler and piping purchasing 1 high flow cat

ok my question is do i need to buy another cat because there is two of them on the stock exhaust so should i get another?

(trying to keep the exhaust legal has possible)(live in MD)

and is there anything else i need besides a place to install it?

well you could have one after the second cat,... but i wouldint do it


either way,... most laws state that if you remove OR MOVE the cat,... its illegal

so your illegal either way

just be careful when you drive
dont drive at 5000rpm when your next to a cop
keep the rpm low and dont floor it
this will make the car not as loud
check your local laws though

i recommend you post something in your designated chapter,... im sure someone there knows whats up with the laws,...

ok well i have the two cats as well. I am just wondering if i would pass emissions testing with only a highflow cat. if not, can i never get a header?

Canadian laws are different than USA Laws.

In MOST USA States, you will pass emissions as long as the tailpipe sniffer comes out within acceptable limits, and as long as they see at least 1 cat. Yes, the Federal Law states that it is illegal to move or remove a functional cat, however 90% of the states do not enforce this.

Research the laws in Canada, and within your specific province more more accurate information than I can provide.
