Or you can just get a tranny for a Tib and not have to worry about a thing.

LOL

You don't have to be an electrician man, I'm iffy with electronics and do a lot of my own stuff. You can cut the damned connectors off and just crimp the wires together.

Not hard.

Maybe if you filled out your location in your profile so we knew where you are at we could get someone to give you a hand?

I'm from south wv.... Random says that he already answered my question.... But I think he is mistaken. I have saw alot on the webiste about elantra tiburon tranny swaps so someone would have to know. And regarding the wires, I don't know what wires I would have to crimp. I just don't wanna waste money and be without a vehicle. Why does 97-99 tibs not show up as swapable with 00-01?

List what year elantra tranny you swapped into what year tib. Also list what kind of mods and/or problems you run into on the way. Thanks

I warned you 2quick. Do NOT keep making topics on the same question. Add them on to the end of the main thread.

Those are manual transmissions that people get from elantras, not automatic transmissions like you are after. When swapping transmissions, most people that I've read here already had a manual, or went from auto to manual. You are going auto to auto, not a lot of posts (if any) for that.

Is there any reason why you have not simply replaced your auto transmission with one from the same year tib you have?

ouch.. and that is typical... soon as you spend your hard earned cash on something you wanted, you find yourself needing that case for something else.
