Why do spark plugs three and four look like this?

It's been running perfectly fine, and these plugs are only a few months old.

are you talkin about the oxidation of the outside of the plugs?

if thats the case, you got some water down in the tube

wheel_of_steel 04-29-2013 06:16 AM

Yep, the oxidation. The spark plug tubes are all slightly rusty. I'll just be careful about degreasing for now, ain't nobody got time for $110 replacement splug leads.

believe it or not, water will still manage to get into the plugs even with the spark plug cover and the plug wire boots..some di-electric grease will help seal away the water, and add some to the plug wires for good measure of waterproofing.

looks like you got the NGK Copper resistor plugs?..great plugs..my radio static disappeared drastically when i had them on
