So today i changed my oil filter, fuel filter (follow redzman's DIY took me 1/2 hour just spay fittings with PV blaster) and seafoam ed my engine. I used the PVC intake for vacuum. Now i have a very low idle, so low to the point that the car wants to stall but hasnt yet, im going to reset the ECU tomarrow but my question is , could my engine been so dirty that it completely gummed up m o2 sensors? Am i missing anything I though about changing the idle screw as well but i wanted to get some opinions first. Im at a lost of why my idle is worse now after seafoam when all ive ever read is that it should be better.

Ideas? Suggestions? Thoughts? Questions?

Your Oxygen sensors don't get "gummed up". Your exhaust gas temperature is over 1000 degrees F. I used the brake booster line myself. Did you get a lot of white smoke out of the exhaust? Do you have a check engine light? You may have broken a vacuum hose and are sucking in too much air. That would cause a low idle.

oh ya i got the white smoke and it went away after 10 minutes. IT was fine this morning so i dont have any idea what vacuum hose would have a leak, are there common ones that that affect idle? I have had a check engine light for some time but its due to the evap canister valve and the car was running fine since ive had it read at advanced auto. Should i reset the ECU and if if/when the light comes back on get a re-read?

spark plugs dirty be an option?

Evap Canister valve is sometimes a vacuum leak. Check ALL vacuum lines. Spend some time in your engine bay and clean it up by hand. If there's any problems, you'll probly notice them.

For the Seafoam was the engine hot when you sprayed it in?

And did you drive it hard right after?

engine was warm, followed the directions on here and on the can. I reset the ECU (disconnected battery and tried to start to clear out all power) and the CEL did not come back on. I let the car run and clear out, i took it for a test run afterwards but didn't drive it hard. I changed the spark plugs anyhow today and that didnt do anything. the only problem now is that the idle is WAY to low...sometimes the needle rests on the little stop, im thinking some sensor has to be not reading correctly but i dont have any CEL's. I cant think of anything i did wrong that would cause this. changing the fuel filter shouldnt have anything to do with it, but just throwing it out there.

and the dumbass award goes to me...

when i put my cai on i put the MAF sensor on backward...

I'm an asshole, but a helpful one I suppose. LOL

Glad you got it working.
