I've done it and it is realy easy to do. Us a aftermarket airfilter. Than remove your resonator and us the pat from the passenger side fog light to get your air entrance. Than get something( I used a flexible metalique tube) Tu get from your air entrance to your filter. I know it's kind of hard to understand that way but, I'm sur if your just think a bit about it with what I gived you you'll be able to do it.

Good luck
Mat

Apex-R Motor Sports is charging me $200 for a Custom CAI with filter and installation, the piping pretty much goes down to my foglight. Should I purchase it? Or talk them down a little?

Na, you should wait for the SR one to come out which will be almost half that price. That is if you can wait 4 weeks.

HVE look after a one make Daewoo race series in Australia. They have a fibreglass intake to the airbox where it feeds from under the front headlight after modifying that small plastic piece that blocks it off. Looks pretty effective as well. Maybe you could do something like that rather than chance scooping up water etc. from lower down.
