For the RD series of tiburons? I found some cams for the V6 GK tibs, but nothing for the older tibs. If nothing is available then roughly what kind of cost is there with having a cam regrinded? Would the cost versus the HP output be even worth it?

Most companies will make you a set. You just send them a set of stock cams and they'll weld/grind them for roughly around $400. Start with Colt Cams.

There is a guy that does custom cams for the Isuzu and Suzuki guys. His prices are decent and I have heard no complaints from anyone. He's been doing it for quite some time too. He re-grinds the cams to whatever lift or duration you like.

wouldn't hurt to email him and see if he would do some Hyundai cams....

his screen name on the Isuzu site is Superf1y

One thing to consider is the reputation of the builder. I've heard horror stories of the welds breaking loose and the lobes all being slightly different. So be sure to double check their work.

a lot of people DO NOT recommend welding on extra material on a cam. You're just asking for trouble.
