Default Custom vs Ordered Exhausts

I was considering a speedstate exhaust until someone told me that a custom exhaust is better. The speedstate would cost $500 plus another $430 for headers. How mutch would a custome exhaust setup cost and would there be a improved performance vs the ordered one?

A custome exhaust you get for the $100 special consists of really crappy aluminum that will rust out in a year, and its bent with a regular pipe bender. At the bends...it is crimpped down from 2.25" (depending on the size you want) back down to 2"...the speedstate one is "Mandrel" bent, meaning they put it through a machine that heats it up, and bends it without creating these crimps. It stays consistent at 2.25" all the through the bend...thus not impeding the exhaust flow. I just bought the mid pipes and have my own muffler I will have to custom fit on it...

I've heard of people getting their custom exhaust for 60 to 80 bucks. Got mine for 75. If the Speedstate exhaust has mandrel bends then it will probably give you 1 to 2 more whorespower If you get a custom and use the typical aluminum pipe and take out the stock resonator you'll save a little weight but your sound will change depending on your muffler. Now you have to ask yourself if it's worth paying the extra 300+ dollars for mandrel bends. Good luck

Mateus is right on when he says the speedstate exhaust will probably out live the custom pipe...depending on the material it's made of.

I think i'll go ahead with the speedstate. I've got to support a company that makes tib parts. And I don't really want to replace it every year.

anyway, thankx for the help guys!
