So, I have the right headlights and keep trying different companies but my tibby likes to blow a headlight every 6 months. I've had the car for a year and half and have gone through 6 headlights. They just keep blowing. Anyone else having this problem?

I have them same problem and I was using the silverstar bulbs and every six months or even in the winter they would go out on me. Last year in the winter I went through 5 bulbs. My best advice is to get the hid kit off ddmtuning.com. It is affordable and easy to hook up. That is one of the reasons I bought my hid kit I have on my car and so far so good and it is winter so. I don't expect any problems they have good reliability.

All of our cars do that with blowing bulbs. Its just how they are. I put HIDs on all my cars now right when I get them.

thats odd, ive had my car for over a year and a half and still have the bulbs the previous owner put in like 3 years ago without any problems... i would definitely spend the little extra money to get HIDS though if i had the extra money

Are you touching the bulbs with your bare hands? The oil from your fingers can make the bulb prematurely blow.

I had a set of silver stars in the tib for what must of had been over a year to a year and a half. I replaced those with another set of silver stars until about 5 months later I switched to HIDs. I would definitely recommend HIDs, however if those aren't an option I haven't had a problem with silver stars even though I heard they are notorious for blowing.

silverstars are a joke. if you don't want to go with HIDS (which truthfully is the best way to go) try some PIAA's.

I gained a easily 100 ft of lit area with HIDS. we have a DIY that tells how to install any kit.

You aren't burning out headlights, you are burning out BULBS.

Do a search, there's a few dozen threads here about it. Best thing to do is wait about 30 seconds to a minute before turning the lights on after you start the car.
