Ok... I'm confuse in how to said this on English.... (not may main language) but I will try..

I was thinking on buying the High compression pistons.... When I saw the price... I began for looking a better way... So the day when my engine suck water, I have to change 1 piston and the ROD.. (I was lucky on that, could be worst..) Then my stepfather give me the idea to lower the Top part of the main block engine, to get more compression

Last Tuesday.... was the first time that I have the opportunity to make a race with another RD1 Tiburon... From the Outside has modification with the exhaust.... I began racing from behind him an in a 3 or 4 seconds.. I was easily 2 car in front of him.... maybe the driver was not an experienced one...

You will get a a GOOD power on getting high compression... but before do this, get sure that you are not addicted to power... because later you will want to put a Turbo on it to have more... And you will have to buy the 8.5:1 Turbo pistons.... a modification that can wait before going to high PSI of boost. I'm addicted to power so I buy it... lol.gif lol.gif

Below I put a reference on where the mechanic cut the engine... I don't know how many... maybe 1mm or 1.5mm.. I will ask... The cut was made nearly the Oil pressure switch, where two parts of the engine get join each other...

I am lost.... but "decking" a block is a good way to get high compression. Just a matter of shaving the block where it joins the head... just be careful that you leave enough room for the piston to hit TDC without touching the head or valves...

Shaving the head is easier.. only aluminum.
