Guys, I have a big need right now. I need to know, which of the three wires coming to the coil pack is actually sending the signal? I have one that is 12v, and I'm guessing one of the next two wires is ground, but which one throws the Signal for the plugs?

Once I know this, we have a kick butt new part that is plug and play, right into the ignition system to provide stronger spark everytime. Its the Sun Hyper Force system they're using on all the Evos and STis racing right now. I have one here, and took a wiring harness from an SR20, and found that it connects right into our Tibs coil pack with one tap. I have 2 wires I'm looking at, and its not the black/white wire since that is the 12v source.

The 2 other wires are signal. It works off of a constant charge system and a ground signal is used to fire the coils.

So which is the ground signal used to fire the coils? If I hook up the Hyper Force unit to the constant charged wire, then it'll basically beef up the charge. Then when the ground makes the spark, it'll be stronger.

You know which is which, or how I can test? I have the schematics, but I'm an idiot when trying to make sense of them.

the coil pack works, well, with coils. the ground is what makes the magnetic field collapse around the primary coil and the secondary coil is what fires the plugs. so this pretty much just sends more voltage to the primary coil im assuming.

post up that schematic if you can. im going to guess that the ground is going to be your black wire but cant be positive. im going outside with a multimeter right now

Here's the schematics. L/Y = Blue and Yellow Br/R = Brown and Red B/W = Black and White 12v wire

ok i was way off i think. they black and white is your constant power wire when the key is on. the blue and yellow is the signal for cylinders 2 & 3. the brown and red is used for the 1 & 4 signal. so if i can remember right the 2 signal wires are going to be the ones applying ground to their coil in order to fire the respective cylinders. its been a while since we talked about this in class but i think thats right

So I should be tapping into which wire? The Hyper Force System I believe is focused on keeping the Primary coil fully charged, and when the secondary coil does its job, the primary temporarily looses its full charge. If that is the case, then I just need to connect the Hyper Force to the Primary coil wire.

it would be the black one then. when the coil primary loses its charge, the magnetic field around it collapses making the coil secondary fire the plugs

I just went out and tested it myself. When the car is off with ignition on, the black and white wire is getting voltage. When the car is on, all 3 are getting voltage. I think the black and white wire was getting 13.5, and the two others were getting 13.1

So do I connect the HFS to the Black and White that normally has voltage? Or is it one of the others that needs the boost to keep the Primary Coil at max effeciency, even when the secondary is having its turn?
