I already have all the parts I need: clutch kit, new flywheel inserts, tranny fluid, clutch fluid

Do I really need any of the "special tools" that hmaservice says you need besides the alignment tool?

Also, any words of wisdom before I do the replacement this weekend because its the first time i'm replacing the clutch myself....and yes i am very mechanically inclined so I know what im doing for the most part, just never did a tibby clutch beforeand dont want to run into something at the last minute that totally screws me.

Its a pretty straight forward job. No specials tools except the clutch alignment tool.

Air tools help also

IF you are careful, anything can be used to align a clutch. Watched my father replace a clutch when I was little.. he used the handle side of a ratchet.

You WILL need a 12 point 17mm socket to get the flywheel off, btw

you'll be fine, many have done it on their own...just in a garage not the parking lot. wink1.gif

does anyone know what an unaligned clutch would feel like? Or would the car just not even drive?
Me..and clutches....meh?

It's like a chinese guy tryin to sell something to an indian, (you need to be somewhat stereotypical to get that).
FYI, the only thing cheaper than a Jew is an Indian...
